A National Presence - A State Specific Approach

The National Early Educators Training Center (NEETC) is the hub of our national early childhood education work and aims to ensure that all early childhood education professionals feel engaged and empowered in their profession; are respected and well compensated; and have access to educator-centered professional development and training. The NEETC works in partnership with eight established state-based affiliates of the Service Employees International Union - Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maryland, Illinois, Oregon, Washington, and California. ESF’s level of involvement varies by state, depending on the unique characteristics and needs of the union and partners. In addition to our deeper work in some of these states, we gather bi-annually as a national professional learning community to share best practices in; program development, implementation and replication, evaluation, and grant acquisition.

This work is supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation
