New! SEIU-ESF Human Service Workers State Agency & Worker Group Training Grant
We have some exciting news regarding a new Training Grant Program for Local 509 SEIU workers. The SEIU Local 509 - Commonwealth Human Service Workers and Educators Training and Professional Development Fund strives to be worker-centered in all that we do. As part of that commitment, the Board of Trustees have voted to approve a budget of $220,000 to support a training grant program that will provide funding to sponsor unique group training opportunities for our workers.
For the year 2022 there will be two opportunities to make training requests, Cycle 1 and Cycle 2.
Cycle 1: Applications will be accepted November 22, 2021 - January 31, 2022 for training that will need to take place between March 14, 2022 and June 30, 2022.
Cycle 2: Applications will be accepted for training needs that need to happen between July 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022. The deadline for the second application opportunity is May 1, 2022. A second announcement will be made in early spring of 2022 to start accepting additional applications.
